Kazoola Eatery and Entertainment is a new and unique restaurant and bar located at 558 Dauphin street in the heart of downtown Mobile. This beautiful space has a very pleasant atmosphere as well as being rich in culture. Joe Cain was actually the first owner of this space. The restaurant is named Kazoola after the last American slave whose translated name is Cudjoe Lewis. The restaurant features many pieces of artwork along the walls that tell Cudjoe Lewis’ story as well as some of the history of Historic Africatown in Mobile. Marc Jackson owns this unique soul food restaurant that also has a full bar. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and also offers live jazz music Thursday through Sunday. There is also a nice courtyard and amphitheater space in the back. Come out and try this amazing soul food in this phenomenal restaurant.
